Some events come together because of scheduling.

Others feel as though they were always meant to happen.

On Saturday, September 19, Gaia welcomes two remarkable artists whose work begins in different mediums but arrives at the same destination: honoring the stories, traditions, and beauty that connect us across cultures and time.

Welcome Back!
Jewelry by Heather Haase

Joining us for the day is acclaimed jewelry designer Heather Haase, whose one-of-a-kind pieces are treasured by collectors across the country.

Heather has spent a lifetime gathering beads, stones, textiles, and antique elements from cultures around the world. Each necklace and bracelet becomes a carefully composed story—blending earth tones with vibrant color, honoring traditional craftsmanship while creating something entirely new. She describes her work as “bringing the world together one bead at a time,” an approach that perfectly reflects the spirit of Gaia.

Every piece carries a sense of history. Every texture has traveled. Every combination invites curiosity.

Meet True Whiting:
Here All Along – Faces & Stories of the Goddess

Artist True Whiting invites us into a world where mythology, memory, and the feminine spirit intertwine. Her paintings are not simply portraits—they are visual journeys exploring the soul’s path, ancient wisdom, and the many faces of the goddess that have always existed within us. Inspired by years of study, travel, and spiritual practice, True’s work draws from indigenous traditions and sacred stories, encouraging viewers to recognize something timeless that has been here all along.

At 2:00 PM, True will present an intimate artist talk about the inspiration behind her newest body of work, sharing the stories, symbolism, and personal experiences that shaped these extraordinary paintings. Whether you’ve followed her work for years or are discovering it for the first time, this is a rare opportunity to hear directly from the artist in a setting designed for conversation and reflection.

Where Their Worlds Meet

Although one works with paint and the other with beads, True and Heather are asking remarkably similar questions.

How do we carry the wisdom of those who came before us?

How do the places we visit—and the people we meet—change the way we see beauty?

How can art help us feel more connected to ourselves and to one another?

Both artists have been shaped by travel, by learning from different cultures, and by an appreciation for handmade traditions that deserve to be preserved. One tells stories through luminous faces and symbols; the other through objects that have journeyed across continents before finding their place in a finished piece of jewelry.

Together, their work reminds us that beauty isn’t simply something we see—it’s something we inherit, discover, and carry forward.
