A.S.98 + Miz Mooz Trunk Show — October 10

Matt is coming back! It has been far too long since we’ve had him here with A.S.98, and on Saturday, October 10, we’re making up for lost time with an A.S.98 + Miz Mooz Shoe Trunk Show. We’ll have immediates available to take home along with special orders—and this year, we’re approaching the show a little differently.

A.S.98 has quite a history behind those wonderfully rebellious shoes. The brand evolved from Airstep, founded in 1998, and became A.S.98 in 2014. Its roots are in traditional shoemaking, but its personality has never been particularly traditional: substantial leather, hand-worked finishes, hardware, unexpected details and that slightly rock-and-roll attitude that makes an A.S.98 boot recognizable from across the room. The company continues to source its leather and materials from Italy and emphasizes hand craftsmanship and finishing as part of its production process. Miz Mooz brings a different personality to the day—playful, colorful and exceptionally wearable—with collections made in Europe through partnerships with small, family-owned factories and European tanneries. 

Here’s what we’re doing differently: we want to hear from you. Rather than trying to guess every shoe you might want and filling the store with a huge order, we’re being more selective about what Gaia stocks. The trunk show gives you the fun part—the much broader choice. Try on. Talk to Matt. See what’s available immediately and explore special-order possibilities beyond the styles we’ll ultimately keep on our own shelves. And really, that’s what we’re hoping October becomes around here: a month to come play. Between our designers, visiting reps, shoes and the art filling Pure Space Gallery, there will be something happening throughout the month.
